Our focus was to have a low maintenance finish that will last the life of the building, so two different cladding products were chosen, with the different buildings being highlighted with the different finishes.
Cemintel Barestone. With a raw, natural finish we chose Cemintel for the front building, this is a compressed fibre cement product that arrives onsite as a finished product therefore does not require sealers, paint or any future maintenance. It is also water blocking and fire resistant so should maintain its good looks for many years.
Weathertex Weathergroove. This is a natural product made of 97% hardwood and is pressed into panels to create a woodgrain effect. It is also a finished product which if left unsealed, as we have chosen, will age gracefully over time. We can already notice the difference from the initial shade so we’re excited to watch it fade and settle into its final colour.
